INTEGRA OPTICS AIRPLANE HANGAR 202 WEDDING: MOE & MIKE
June 3rd, 2017. Albany Airport, NY. Moe & Mike
Moe & Mike’s wedding was full of laughter, the occasional f-bomb (Moe’s vocabulary is very colorful), and lots of dancing! I never wanted their wedding day to end. Every step of the way for M&M throughout the planning process was about making their day unique, FUN and have touches of their personalities throughout the day. This vision led them to finding Integra Optics’s Airplane Hangar as their perfect venue. Aviation plays an important & sentimental role in their world. Moe is a pilot and so was her father, this was a perfect spot to honor their love of planes and travel.
Throughout the wedding day from hair & make-up, decor, ceremony details, food and dancing everything was hand selected and represented their humor and love of adventures.
What Katie says:
“This was such a very special wedding for me. When Moe & Mike came in for their first consultation I was immediately touched by their love story and fierce loyalty to family & friends. I wanted them to hire me so much and was so excited when they did! This planning process didn’t just create a beautiful ceremony and celebration for Moe & Mike, it created a long lasting friendship that I am so grateful to have. Moe & Mike thank you for trusting me 100% to take your ideas and priorities and create this day for you both. It was an honor and pleasure to share it with you and all of your amazing people!”
What Moe says: “Oh my goodness. I am not sure there is enough time to list all of the things that the KOWE team did for us on our wedding day. I think the biggest thing, if I just said one thing, was that we didn’t have to worry about any of the details. I have been to those weddings where the friends had to make sure the flowers had to go here and the favors had to go there and the Uncle had to be picked up at the airport. I have seen those brides that you could tell they weren’t totally enjoying the day because they were worried about all of those little details. I didn’t have to worry about any of those things. I woke up on June 3rd and I was getting married. I didn’t worry about ANYTHING. Not about what we were eating for lunch. Not about any parents not knowing where they had to be when. Katie and the team took care of EVERY detail. Details I didn’t know even existed. I enjoyed my day. I enjoyed hanging out with my best friends and my mom. That was the most beneficial thing the KOWE team did for me.”
Let me just say that choosing a limited number of images for this blog from the gallery was ridiculously hard. The talented, Matt Gillis took amazing candid photos that captured the raw and real love between Moe & Mike and all their loved ones. Enjoy! 🙂
Stunning getting ready picture of Moe
What a sweet image of Moe’s mom <3
Just starting the wedding day with a causal and “innocent” game of “Cards Against Humanity”
And I have to include an iPhone pic of the actual card that was selected! I couldn’t have planned it better if I tried LOL!
Love his “first look” reaction!
Kids at a wedding can go either way but this ring bearer was sassy, cool and had a huge personality! This picture captures that perfectly.
We always get the question “I have a loved one who has passed away, how do I include them in my wedding?” Well Moe decided to save her dad a seat in the front row with his pilot jacket and flight log book.
Moe’s father had passed away and she wasn’t sure who was going to walk her down the aisle. So she came up with this fantastic idea to walk down the aisle with people who have made a special difference in her “walk through life”.
What a backdrop! (I think her Dad had a little something to do with that plane passing by 💚)
To keep with the airplane hangar theme, Moe and Mike made mini paper airplanes as their guests escort cards.
The hangar was unique and beautiful on its own, so the designers at Fleurtacious Designs created these simple but elegant pieces to add to the beauty of the space.
Pilot & Co-Pilot / “Bride & Groom” chair signs.
How freaking cute is this cake!?
I love love love this image. Moe and Mike were floating through the day.
The dance floor was packed all night long! You know its good when the Katie O’ joins you on the dance floor.
Thank you both again for trusting us with your day.
