Eric and Chelsey’s Surprise Engagement

In January we launched a giveaway to give future couples of the Capital Region a proposal of a lifetime! To enter, we asked those who were interested to tell us about their relationship, why they wanted to propose, and why they wanted our help! Every entry was meaningful and we enjoyed reading through them all! Ultimately though, Eric was chosen to surprise his girlfriend (now finacé!) with a proposal of a lifetime.

When asked why he wanted help planning the proposal, this is what Eric had to say:

I am applying for help with planning the perfect proposal because I truly believe that Chelsey deserves the world. I am looking to propose in early 2022 and I personally am not the best at planning things like this. I work all day to plan for responding and recovering from disasters as an emergency manager for the NYS Department of Labor in Albany. But when it comes to special events like this, I can use some help to make it the most magical and special day of our lives together so far. Our love for one another is so pure and those around us tell us all the time how much they love seeing the happiness we bring one another. Chelsey has a pure heart of gold who is always going out of her way for those around her. I want to give her a moment that is about her, our love for one another, and spending the rest of our lives together.

The Kenmore Ballroom, Katie O’ Events, and other incredible local vendors teamed up to create a beautiful, once in a lifetime event for our lucky winner Eric and his beautiful bride-to-be! Thank you to the wonderful, hardworking vendors that helped make this day possible!
