ASHLEY & CLARE: ROXBURY BARN

Ashley & Clare

Ashley & Clare met while studying theatre at NYU. She walked up to him at the end of class and said “you know, I think we’re supposed to be friends”. Over the next few months Ashley and Clare became best of friends. Eventually their friendship turned into love and four years later these two got married.

What Katie O’ says: Ashley & Clare were so lovely right from the start. On our initial call I immediately felt, not only the love they shared for one another but also all of their “people.” They made a point to share just how much they wanted to “celebrate” all of their family & friends. Getting to know Ashley and Clare during the planning process was a delight. Together they make a great team even with all the challenges they faced during the process. While planning their wedding, they both finished grad school. got new jobs and moved across the country! So it was great to be able to handle the “wedding business” for them while they were busy handling their new lives.

What Ashley says: Clare and I “interviewed” over 10 different wedding planners before we (very easily) chose to work with Katie and Casey to plan our big day! After only moments of chatting with them we knew we were in amazing hands and they were a great fit for us. Their warm energy, organization and attention to detail stole our type-a planning hearts! And, we were absolutely thrilled with them. We worked together for about fourteen months, before the wedding, during which Clare and I also moved across the country, finished grad school and started new jobs. As you can imagine, we were extremely overwhelmed and through it all Katie and Casey kept us feeling supported and on track for the wedding. In addition to their amazing skills for planning and organization — they made us feel loved and heard. Katie and Casey’s joy and appreciation for family, community and love is so apparent. And, watching them work with our other vendors only solidified that feeling! As mentioned, Clare and I are both a type-a planners and have a very strong attention to detail. We had big dreams for our big day and Katie and Casey made all of them come true. The day was absolutely seamless and even my friends and family commented on how impressed they were with Katie and her team. I truly can’t imagine a wedding planner!

Ashley and Clare worked closely with Jenny C Design in creating their stationery suite. As you see later in this blog, the design was carried into the wedding in multiple ways.
